Tonar Street

March Cato were engaged by the Piritahi Alliance to install a new 2100 mm diameter stormwater line at the new Northcote development. The new line connects an existing manhole located at the intersection of Fraser Ave and Tonar Street to a new discharge point in the Akoranga Reserve. 

The team constructed a sheet piled and whaler frame braced launch shaft, installing our own Herrenknecht Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) to complete the drive. The team completed the drive through a variety of materials, before successfully breaking through at the discharge location.
